THE COLOURFUL FACE OF MARMARIS: KETENCİ ART STREET

              Ketenci Art Street is the result of employment opportunities provided by the Marmaris Municipality for small businesses. It is a place where mostly housewives contribute to tourism with their handicraft skills and sell handmade products.
 

             
            After many years, the Marmaris Municipality has allocated this area for the first time this year. The Ketenci Deresi Art Streets, located behind the Governor's Office in the Marmaris Market, are attracting great interest from both local and foreign holidaymakers.
 

   
         After a pleasant short walk from the centre of Marmaris along the coastal promenade, you will reach Ketenci Art Street, where you will find handmade jewellery, bags, baby toys, necklaces, bracelets, decorative accessories and many other souvenirs of Marmaris...
 

A STREET THAT COMBINES ART WITH HANDICRAFT
 

             
                In addition to the handmade products we saw for the first time this year on Ketenci Art Street, Rana Çetinkaya, who paints on eggshells, natural stones, and tree bark, and Yasemin Çeşme, who is actually a mural painter and whose ancestors are from Muğla, was born in Germany and lives in the Netherlands and Marmaris, They are drawing attention with the importance they attach to promoting Marmaris.
