THE INTERNATIONAL HEART OF YOUTH SCIENCE BEAT IN FETHIYE
The 6th International Youth Studies Congress brought together hundreds of academics from 27 universities across 12 countries in Fethiye, Muğla. The congress focused on scientific discussions and solution-oriented sessions addressing youth education, employment, and cultural identity.

Fethiye, the touristic district of Muğla, hosted the 6th International Youth Studies Congress between October 29 and November 2. The event, held at the Orka Sunlife Beach Resort Hotel in Ölüdeniz, welcomed participants from 33 universities and 10 institutions across 27 provinces of Türkiye, as well as representatives from 27 universities in 12 different countries.

The congress tackled diverse topics such as youth education, employment, volunteering, cultural identity, technology addiction, and the inclusion of young people with disabilities in society.


Speaking at the opening, Congress Chair Dr. Zekeriya Bingöl said, “This scientific journey, which we started in Marmaris in 2016, has now become an international brand. By combining science, exploration, and entertainment, we inspire hope among young people.”

WIDE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC PARTICIPATION


The congress was organized in collaboration with Mersin University, Istanbul Esenyurt University, Balıkesir University, Osmaniye Korkut Ata University, Kilis 7 Aralık University, Trabzon Eurasia University, Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, Bingöl University, Hakkari University, Gümüşhane University, Iğdır University, Istanbul Topkapı University, Istanbul Gelişim University, Istanbul Galata University, Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management, Samarkand State University, Kyrgyzstan Jalal-Abad State University, Kazakhstan International University of Tourism and Hospitality, Bayan-Ulgii Mongolian State University of Education, and Marmaris Youth Association.

Among the guests were Muğla Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Ali Zağlı and Fethiye Deputy Mayor Veli Uysal. During the event, several academic cooperation protocols were signed between universities in Türkiye and Central Asia. Participants also explored Fethiye’s natural beauty through tours to Saklıkent, Tlos, and Babadağ.

The final declaration of the congress drew attention to youth unemployment, the “homebound youth” phenomenon, and brain drain, recommending the development of new educational models to help young people adapt to digital transformation. Concluding with colorful scenes, the congress ended on a high note with a paragliding event from Babadağ—leaving participants with unforgettable memories.
