STAFF SHORTAGE IN TOURISM BEING ADDRESSED WITH FOREIGN WORKERS

At an information meeting organized through the cooperation of the Marmaris Housekeeping Training Association (MAHED) and Semerci Companies Group RS Visa Global Consultancy, the staff shortage experienced in the tourism sector and possible solutions were discussed.

Hosted by MAHED President Ayla Yarıcı, the meeting was held yesterday (January 25, 2026) at Martı Resort Hotel. Around 30 participants, including hotel human resources managers and housekeeping managers, attended the meeting and voiced the challenges they are facing.

Providing information at the meeting, Semerci Companies Group RS Visa Global officials Remzi Semerci and İlknur Çetin, who offer overseas personnel recruitment services, stated:
“Foreign personnel are more cost-effective within the allocated budgets. We can supply foreign workers on an annual basis by obtaining work permits from Turkmenistan, Indonesia, Nepal, and Africa. Why not European workers? Because European personnel demand higher wages, which in turn increases costs.”  Reported Ata SEVGİ AjansCANKA
