CYPRIOT YACHTSMEN CLOSED THE TOURISM SEASON IN MARMARIS
In the 36th edition of the International Yacht Races organized this year by the Marmaris International Yacht Club (MIYC), one of the main sponsors from Northern Cyprus, Arkın Karpaz Gate Marina, won first place in all races with its yacht Napan.
Held in Marmaris Bay between October 25–31, the 36th International Yacht Races hosted 113 sailing yachts and 1,100 competitors from Turkey, the United States, Russia, the Netherlands, Spain, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Germany, China, Belarus, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Estonia, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Norway, Switzerland, Greece, the United Kingdom, Italy, Moldova, and Azerbaijan.
DOMINATING OCTOBER 29 — CHAMPION OF ALL RACES
The surprise of the competition came on the third day, October 29, Republic Day, during the Arkın Karpaz Gate Marina Day organized by the Cypriot sponsor. The award ceremony, held at Marmaris Municipality Marina, turned into a magnificent Republic Day celebration with special performances arranged by the sponsor from Northern Cyprus.
After five days of racing, Napan, captained by Deniz Fıçı and representing Arkın Karpaz Gate Marina from Northern Cyprus, claimed overall first place. The final standings were as follows:
