ANTIQUE AND SECOND-HAND MARKET HELD EVERY MONTH IN HISARÖNÜ VILLAGE
The Hisarönü Neighborhood Headmanship and the Hisarönü Village Solidarity and Assistance Association in Marmaris, one of Muğla’s leading tourism destinations, have launched a monthly antique and second-hand market, to be held on the last Sunday of every month.

The first edition of the “Antique and Second-Hand Market” of the 2026 tourism season was held yesterday (May 31, 2026) in the Köşem Hisarönü area, bringing together antique enthusiasts from across Türkiye. Coinciding with the Eid al-Adha holiday period, the market attracted visitors not only from Marmaris but also from Istanbul and İzmir. The market featured a wide variety of items, including antiques—some more than 100 years old—along with clothing, souvenirs, and handmade accessories.

Providing information on behalf of the Hisarönü Village Solidarity and Assistance Association, Ceyda Tok stated that the event, which was organized for the first time this year, will continue on the last Sunday of each month until the end of the tourism season.
“At our first market, we brought together 43 vendors selling second-hand and antique items with the public, contributing both to the local economy and to social interaction and solidarity. Visitors spending their holidays in Marmaris and Datça also came to our market and enjoyed a different and memorable day,” she said.
