The Turkish - Scottish Chamber of Commerce represented Turkey at the celebrations for the 900th anniversary of Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland.

This year, for the first time, the Turkish-Scottish Chamber of Commerce took part in the historic “People's Procession” march organized as part of Edinburgh's 900th anniversary celebrations. The delegation, led by Turkish-Scottish Chamber of Commerce President Şahin Vahap Fırat and carrying banners, attracted significant attention throughout the event.

Under Fırat's leadership, the Chamber continues to be the voice of the Turkish community in Scotland, and this time, by participating in the celebrations marking the city's 900-year history, it once again strengthened the friendship between Turkey and Scotland.

In a written statement to AjansCANKA, President Fırat said that it was a source of pride for Turkey to be officially represented at such a long-standing event for the first time, adding, “This was truly a historic moment for us. We received a lot of positive feedback during the march. This was very valuable for both our community and the ties between our countries.”

President Fırat emphasized the proud and emotional intensity of walking with the Turkish flag, stating, "It would have been desirable to have broader representation, including participation from all segments of the Turkish community, even Turks living in different regions of England. Next year, we aim for stronger participation in unity and solidarity. As the Turkish-Scottish Chamber of Commerce, we carried the flags of both countries side by side in Edinburgh's historic march. We will continue to build cultural and commercial bridges in the coming period." said Ata SEVGİ AjansCANKA
